The ALVMF Board is excited because of the many new activities that are happening with your foundation.
Our new management team has hit the ground running with enthusiasm and vigor. A new database of supportive prospects and donors is being developed; names and contact information provided by you is essential to grow our donor base. Fortunately, we now have the software to develop an amazing secure database for our donors to make contributions and provide feedback. Please help and share with confidence our dedicated Facebook page, phone and fax numbers.
All of these wonderful additions will be of little benefit without your input and support.
Please begin your contributions by having your entire family, staff and clients go to our Facebook page and share, like, and provide positive and helpful comments and other information.
Encourage all animal related organizations such as humane societies, rescue organizations, clubs, and associations to share our Facebook page and like us.
Your help is also needed to:
1. Place a new rack containing information cards with our new spay/neuter tag design in your office. Please let us know that we may send this information to you.
2. Purchase and encourage your family, staff and clients to purchase the spay/neuter license plate and donate to the foundation through the Alabama income Tax Check Off.
Direct donations by check, credit card and PayPal are also gladly accepted.
3. Include a message through your social media about the license plate sales and the income Tax Check Off.
4. Purchase patient sympathy cards from the Foundation or send a contribution in honor of a pet or friend. We can also send the card for you upon your contribution to the Foundation with request.
To expand the leadership outreach, the Foundation board, has established the advisory council for the foundation. Please be in contact with individuals with influential leadership skills from around the state to join our team in an advisory council. Contact me if you need more information. Students from Auburn University and Tuskegee University will also join the board in ex-officio positions.
As we review our goals and missions, we want to be ever mindful of our original mission “To enhance the well-being of animals and the human-animal bond.” Yet we realize that we cannot embark on all of the many projects that we would like. We need you to let us know what your preferred goals are for us to tackle initially.
Thus far, spay/neuter expansions and disaster preparedness have been first and foremost. Our spay and neuter contributions continue to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs. The need for disaster preparedness was clearly demonstrated during our natural disasters of the past.
Please contact us with questions, comments, or suggestions.
Best wishes,
