ALVMF Spay/Neuter Program

Picture
Pet overpopulation is a tremendous problem in our state, approximately 75% of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs brought into Alabama Shelters are euthanized. Through the ALVMF Spay/Neuter License Plate Program, proceeds from statewide tag sales offset the cost of spay/neuter surgeries performed at participating hospitals throughout the state of Alabama. Our primary source of funding for this program comes from the sale of these license plates and the donation check-off on the Alabama income tax return. You may also donate directly to the Spay/Neuter Program here. Your support of this program to help unwanted pets in Alabama is greatly appreciated

Disaster Relief

The Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation has established a disaster relief fund in the wake of the recent weather disasters. We are pleased to announce that the relief fund is now able to assist with reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses related to animal care and may be able to help with un-reimbursed damages to your practice.

Donor Wall Program

The Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation offers veterinary hospitals and clinics an opportunity to participate in an exciting fund raising program which benefits the Foundation while giving recognition to families and pets.
The Donor Wall is a wood framed 36” x 40” display that holds etched pieces of solid tile either 3” x 3” or 3” x 1.5” depending on the amount of the donation from clients.

Urgent Care Program

The Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation has revised a previously successful program to support participating veterinary hospitals.  This program provides urgent care funds to help meet the need for pets who require urgent veterinary care to save their life, but who's pet parents simply cannot provide those financial resources in the time of need.
